One of the perks of working with a couple from start to finish is that we tend to develop a friendship over that time. There are times where if we start with the save the date and end with “day of” stationery, we could seriously be working together for almost a year!
That was the case for this amazing couple. I seriously had so much fun working with Ashley and Devin on their wedding stationery. They rented out the local zoo and gardens and had their ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at different location around the zoo.
Ashley has a love for giraffes so we knew right away we wanted to incorporate animal icons into their pieces. We brought in a lot of earthy colors with the bronze pocket cards, copper foil, and brown sugar envelopes and pops of magenta! It was perfect for their November wedding.
For their “day of” stationery, we had so much fun creating a custom map of the zoo/program that mimicked an entrance ticket that the guests were given as they arrived at the zoo entrance. We finished the details with animal icon place cards and table numbers and adorable favor tags for the groom’s grandmother’s secret hot & spicy Trinidadian pepper sauce!
